2024 BMC Lineup

Please comment briefly below expressing your preference for one of the below blades (or hatred for them all)! The one with the most interest may be prioritised for production.

Support for our blades in 2023 has helped give us the belief to commit to the future. It's been great to learn there are other people out there with a love for machetes!

As we all know, ones personal collection can never have too many blades. And so we have been busy designing an increased range to be released in 2024.

We've tried to stay true to our Machete roots with two new patterns currently being prototyped. Knowing however that smaller blades are occasionally necessary (...) our pencil leads were conserved by the design of our first sub-400mm long blade - a 130mm long Neck Knife.

This core selection of blades we hope to compete for release in 2024. These include the following:

BMC Ghoul Golok

Golok - A premium traditional straight-spined, distal tapered, with a super ergonomically designed handle. It carries a bit more length than a "standard" Golok. Designed for genuine jungle survival in excellent Bohler N690.

BMC Recon Parang

Parang - a shorter, upswept blade with a uniquely flared handle. We've chosen to modernise the aesthetics to incorporate a very comfortable grip.

This blade also benefits from a distal taper, giving it the traditional Parang power with increased maneuverability and less pack-weight. made in C67 steel and inspired by the needs of special forces needing to move speedily and silently.

BMC Soc-Rat Neck Knife

Neck Knife - running under the development name of "Soc-Rat" - a play on words incorporating one of the true Stoics - Socrates, and a knife diminutive enough to be a "sock rat"!

This is our first short blade. A micro 130mm length, the Soc Rat is perfect to keep around the neck all day around the home and office for all those smaller jobs. It will be offered with a UK made Kydex sheath.

These blades are all planned to be exclusively made in Italy by industry giants. increased quality and dependable production, no cheap factories, just pure quality blades.

Prototypes are due to be tested in Spring 2024. The Soc-Rat will almost certainly be launched on Kickstarter initially. It is going to be much more attainable to a wider audience thanks to its relative utility and lower material cost.

How many machetes can one own? They all look great! Hard to choose. the neck knife is interesting depends on how it can be worn on the neck. I would also like a better boot knife than what i have. So maybe down the road a concealed boot knife,..

Thanks for the comment. It is of course impossible to have too many machetes.

The Neck Knife will be worn on a paracord necklace through the kydex sheath. No additional sheath furniture to keep it slim. Boot knife has been noted!
