Its been a journey working with our suppliers. The UK traditional way of working differs somewhat from the fast paced, highly automated way many US, Italian and Chinese companies operate. Think Treebeard from JRR Tolkien's Lord of the Rings! Please bear with us - we are pushing forward as fast as possible!
The handles feel great. The radius on the scales is not quite as rounded as planned, but the feel is good in-hand and very secure. This was one primary design goal.
The natural micarta colour is too light for what will be a future special edition, and will need to be a bit darker to match our planned Cerokote blade finish of Magpul Flat Dark Earth H-267 and the matching Coyote Sheath and Shoulder strap. The OD version is right, but the prototype is comprised of layered Micarta which we'll be keeping single piece for production.
Also I am not personally a fan of satin blade finishes - they show every little scratch and fingerprint! So the OD will be tumbled for that more worn and tactical look,
