BRITISH MACHETE COMPANY FIRST BLADE DESIGN FINALISED ~ (October 2022)

First we named it the Bolo 380, then it was the Chopra Matchet. "Why Matchet?" Well, a matchet is the traditional British English term used for what in Latin America is the Machete. Being the British Machete Company, we thought it fitting the first blade should err on the side of tradition, whilst also being the most hatchet-esque blade we plan on currently producing. Yes that's right - Matchet is uncannily similar to Hatchet - a tool used almost exclusively for chopping tasks, much like our Chopra.

However, we then swerved back to the traditional Machete, as our company after all is not called the British Matchet Company!

Despite being an out-and=out chopper, the Chopra Machete retains the essence of a good, heavy machete. It is far more useable than a simple hatchet and also far safer. Useable as it can be used for many forestry and survival tasks beyond the capabilities of a little axe. The Chopras blade geometry has been designed to cut thinner material more precisely whilst keeping some of its heft spread along the long blade. A hatchet is of course focusing all it's power into the one, small but heavy head, making slicing cuts harder and shin injuries easier.
