The Chopra feels great! It is such a relief after designing something on paper and computer for so long, with lots of back and forth, that the real steel version actually feels good and performs well! Phew!
Now, we sadly only have the paracord wrap as a handle currently as the CNC machined handles aren't quite ready yet. One thing the paracord handle doesn't do is absorb shocks well.
My hope is that the layered Micarta scales and G10 liners will significantly reduce vibration and put make the blade a dream to use.
Logs:
Smashing through wood the Chopra works great! It will go straight through most logs, but I have found that any additional chainsaw cuts lower down that were not finished will stop any blade dead in its tracks. Something to remember to avoid when cutting the log rounds with the chainsaw.
Weight:
I was worried she'd be a heavy girl... But my fears were largely unwarranted! Yes at 785g with scales, the Chopra is a big blade, but far from unmanageable and with the weight curving up and forward, its exactly where you want it. Compared to a certain Latin machete I own, the Chopra feels downright nimble!
