Our research is carried out weekly by our management team. Taking blades into the woods we are tweaking and perfecting the designs of our upcoming long blades.
The game of balance is an intriguing one. Literal blade balance is key. Too much forward weight will strain the wrist, but not enough and you'll not chop through a matchstick.
Too thin scales and the handle will rotate in use, too thick and it'll be a struggle to maintain a good grip.
A forward heavy, downward Kukri style blade will be great for cutting deep, but it will be the most likely of any blade shape to hit a lower limb if you miss the mark, A swept back curve will create great sweeping slash-cuts more suited for general chopping and thinner, wispy weed-whacking.
This challenge to develop not the 'ultimate machete', but the best for each intended use is our core justification for each new design.
If you find the 'perfect' machete, then please let us know; as we have not found it yet!
